Lugt Number759
No. of Painting Lots38
NotesThe seller was the sculptor Francis Bird, 1667-1731. Some of the lots specify Bird as the artist and others don't, so we have not assumed that he was the artist for the anonymous lots, except for the model for the protrait of Queen Anne, which was one of his most famous sculptures. Sale includes models, casts, prints, and drawings. We have only indexed the models; the drawings are untitled, so we have not indexed them.

"A catalogue of the genuine collection of models, casts, prints, books of prints, and drawings, of Mr. Francis Bird, late of Lincolns-Inn-Fields, Statuary, Deceas'd. Which will be sold by auction, by Mr. Langford, on Tuesday the 30th of April 1751, and the four following evenings. At the Great Room over Exeter-Exchange, in the Strand."
