NotesThis sale consisted of the books, drawings, prints, maps and miscellaneous items belonging to Gerrit van der Pot, the wealthy Rotterdam merchant and collector who had died in March, 1807. It did not include his paintings, which were sold separately by another group of dealers on June 6ff., 1808, but one of the lots added by hand and described as a "Schoorsteenstuk" was apparently a painting by Abraham Hondius that had been part of the furnishings Van der Pot acquired with the house.
