Auction House | Dries (C.) -- from catalog: C. van den Dries en Zoon | Sale Location | Zaal boven de Beurs, Rotterdam, Netherlands | Seller(s) | Pot, Gerrit van der, Heer van Groeneveld from catalog: Alles nagelaten door wyle den Wel Ed. Geb. Heer Gerrit van der Pot, Heer van Groeneveld | Lugt Number | 7307 | No. of Painting Lots | 1 | Notes | This sale consisted of the books, drawings, prints, maps and miscellaneous items belonging to Gerrit van der Pot, the wealthy Rotterdam merchant and collector who had died in March, 1807. It did not include his paintings, which were sold separately by another group of dealers on June 6ff., 1808, but one of the lots added by hand and described as a "Schoorsteenstuk" was apparently a painting by Abraham Hondius that had been part of the furnishings Van der Pot acquired with the house. For a discussion of Van der Pot, see the later sale (no.126). (B.
