This information comes from a note added by Sir Hew Crawfurd, Bart. There is no month or year on the catalogue, though the day is Monday the 26th; this could be February, March, or November of 1750. The year comes from a letter that was attached to the original catalogue. Lugt gives the date as 1749, but the Earl died Dec. 24 of that year, so the sale was more likely to have been the following year.
