Thirty-three of the 118 lots in this sale can be traced to Christie's sale on Dec.2/3, 1796, at which time they belonged to Michael Bryan. He may well have been the owner of still other lots in the sale, but most probably there were other consigners besides Bryan. A few of his lots then reappear at Christie's on Dec.8/9, 1797, where they were again sold under his name. . | Catalog Location(s) | FLNY [photocopy in Provenance Index Sales Files] Annot. with many buyers and prices but illegible.
