He was known as Courmont fils or le jeune, and at the time of his death he lived in the Rue Cerruty.. His widow, Adelaide-Louise Monmerqué, survived him and was reimbursed 25,000 livres by the authorities on 4 brumaire, an III, i.e. Oct.25, 1794. RKDH has a long note about the widow (who died in 1829) and a quote from Goncourt, Maison d'un artiste, who was her grandson.
