NotesLouis-Marie Lebas [de] Courmont, was a fermier-général who was executed on 19 floréal, an II {i.e. May 8, 1794) at the age of 52. He was known as Courmont fils or le jeune, and at the time of his death he lived in the Rue Cerruty.. His widow, Adelaide-Louise Monmerqué, survived him and was reimbursed 25,000 livres by the authorities on 4 brumaire, an III, i.e. Oct.25, 1794. RKDH has a long note about the widow (who died in 1829) and a quote from Goncourt, Maison d'un artiste, who was her grandson.
