Notes"A catalogue of a small genuine collection of pictures, by ancient masters; capital drawings, and prints; select library of books; sideboard of plate; and a variety of curious and valuable effects, the property of the late Sir Archibald Campbell, K. B. deceased. Among the pictures are a remarkable fine landscape, by Both, two noble and elegant drawings of the baths and sepulchres of the Ancients, by Clerissau; several capital views of Windsor, by P. Sandby, elegantly framed and glazed, &c. Which will be sold by auction (by order of the executors) by Mr. Christie, at his Great Room, next Cumberland House, Pall Mall, on Friday, April, the 27th, 1792, at Twelve o'clock." The last section of the catalogue (lots 97-138) has the folllowing heading: "The following Miscellaneous and Valuable Articles, The Property of the late Henry Lyte, Esq; dec. viz." However, this section also has lots from other sellers (the lots that are from Lyte might have the annotation "Mrs Lyte".
