NotesThe seller, Edmund Antrobus, of Spring Garden, is probably the father of Edmund Antrobus, 1st Bart. (d.1826) of Spring Garden, a prominent banker mentioned by Farrington. All of the paintings in this sale had been put up for sale by private contract earlier in the year (Br-A1606) and left unsold.

"A Catalogue of a Capital and Genuine Collection of Pictures, By the most esteemed Masters of the Roman, Venetian, Spanish, French, Flemish, and Dutch Schools, The Property of that well-known Connoisseur, the late Edmund Antrobus, Esq; Brought from his late House in Spring Gardens, And recently exhibited, being in the Highest State of Preservation, and selected by the late Possessor with great Taste, at a very liberal Expence, Consisting of the undoubted Works of T. de Bellino, Parmegiano, Titian [...] Teniers, Wouvermans, Berghem, Poussin, &c".
