NotesThe seller was the dealer Robert Ansell, who was very active in the 1770s and 1780s. He usually sold through Christie's until they went into business together. This is the only known example where he used another auctioneer.

The title page reads: "A Catalogue Of The Genuine Collection Of Italian, French, Flemish and Dutch Pictures, The Property of Mr. Robert Ansell; Which will be Sold by Auction, By Mr. Walsh, At his Room, Opposite Mr. Almack's, King Street, St. James's-Square, On Friday the 24th of March, and the following Day".
